Our Proud Ingredients

We carefully craft our products using ingredients like overproof vodka and whiskey that pull their weight - and like hand sanitizer, there's no lingering booze smell.

We like to say that our products don't contain any inactive ingredients. Why put something in there if it's not part of the solution? So, we're careful to craft deodorant only using ingredients that pull their weight. Even the things we use to scent the deodorant do double duty as antimicrobial stink-fighters. Take a peek at what we use and why!

Forming our first line of odor-fighting defense and the base of the deodorant. We use overproof vodka and whiskey because they're quite effective at killing unwanted microbes. The deodorant works on contact by obliterating the bacteria that are causing you to smell. Have you ever met a grandpa-type who cleans with vodka? They're out there, and they're on to something.

The powder you'll notice sitting on the bottom of the bottle. It's the reason you need to shake the bottle, you need a bit of it in every spritz and you don't want it to clog the spray nozzle. But we have it in the deodorant for several awesome reasons. First of all, it helps keep your armpits feeling a bit drier. Secondly, and most importantly, it is anti-microbial. It carries on the good work the whiskey and vodka began by keeping your pits a zone that is unfriendly to stink-factories (bacteria). Arrowroot is used in the kitchen in place of cornstarch. It's a thickener. But that's not how it functions in our deodorant.

Helps us denature our liquor bases so they taste nasty and are only used as intended. Salt also helps keep you a bit drier longer. It also is functionally anti-microbial in nature.

Made with vodka and steeped for maximum efficacy. These each possess antimicrobial properties.

Greek Mountain Tea is antimicrobial and helps keep your pits fresher longer.

Sea Buckthorn is antimicrobial and smells nice.

Umckaloabo has healing properties as well as being antimicrobial. People rave about the healing properties of this herb. That's a lot better than the traditional deodorants that have ingredients believed to be toxic and harmful.

Small Leaf Kuding Tea is incredibly bitter, the guys at the tea shop weren't sure we meant what we said when we asked to buy it. It helps denature our liquor as well, making it quite unpalatable. It is also a bacteria fighter.

Elderflower is incredible at fighting bacteria over a longer period of time, it helps keep you smelling fresh longer.

Gotu Kola is another uncommon tea that also has antimicrobial properties and lends an earthy aroma to the deodorant.

Lavender flowers, black peppercorns, and cloves are used and steeped to give the deodorant a fragrance. We are extremely picky about our sourcing for these and ensure that we use things that would be found in a high-end restaurant, not old, stale spices cabinets.

Used to boost the already-fragrant spices and herbs used to scent the deodorant. While the black pepper and clove smells really good on impact, it fades quickly. So we help it stick around a bit longer by using corresponding essential oils. That way you smell nice longer!
