The Glorious Heat of the Beach
Take a moment wherever you are and imagine you're on a beautiful beach. Fine, soft sand seeping between your toes. A cool breeze of salty sea air gently rolls across your face. The sun warms you from outside in as you lounge in a comfortable chair with the perfect frosty beverage at your side. Ahhh, the glorious heat of the beach.
Or is it glorious? It is until you catch a whiff of your pits and you realize you aren't just marinating in the sun but also a stink. Admittedly, you might have had enough rum to not give a hoot, but there's still good news for baking beach pits. You can have your piña colada on the beach and smell deliciously like one too! The proof is in a recent test of Pit Liquor deodorant in the heat and humidity of Playa Mujeres in CancĂșn, Mexico.Â
A Natural Deodorant that Beats the Heat
Last week my family and I took the chance for a tropical getaway. This vacation really was nothing short of miraculous because like so, SO many the world over our family has endured some deep struggles this past year. Kind generosity of family members coupled with incredible Black Friday travel deals made this most welcome CancĂșn adventure take shape.
We observed every health safety precaution as we traveled and our four-year-old absolutely rocked wearing her mask for the duration of the first two flights of her life. Our world has been weird the past year or so and last week we got to see sweet glimpses of what we hope is an impending return to some normalcy.Â
Everywhere we went while at our resort we toted the essentialsâmasks, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, rash guards, and (as you might have guessed) Pit Liquor deodorant. I took along two of my favorite scents that I thought would go well with the tropical surroundings:Â Coconut Rum with Lime and Whiskey Pineapple.Â
Don't they look pretty in the Caribbean Sea foam?
It was hard to pick which of these Pit Liquor scents I liked more throughout the week! I loved the fresh, bright aroma of the Coconut Rum with Lime and I often started there in the mornings.
I may have enjoyed Whiskey Pineapple even more with its sweet, dessert-like scent. It just smells like summer! I sprayed it on before we went to dinner each evening after showering away the sand, salt, and sunscreen on my skin. I also experimented once with layering the two scents for a piña colada-inspired pit cocktail and the combination smelled incredible!
The alcohol did its pit bacteria-slaying job even in the intense sun and humidity of CancĂșn and that's saying something. Most deodorants I've worn while on a toasty beach have failed within a few hours or less. Pit Liquor outlasted anything else I've tried and smelled better too. These two scents are my piña colada answer to pit odor for the rest of this year's "sunshiniest" seasons and I now know they won't let me down.
