The Top 3 Questions We Get Asked
Question: The scent I purchased isn't quite doing the trick for me...what can I do?
Pit Liquor Pro Tip: We get it. Scents don't always play with our body chemistry the way we think they might. A GREAT thing to do if you run into this (especially in your first go with Pit Liquor) is to try a scent with a different alcohol base.
In trials and testing, we've discovered that each of the forms of organic alcohol we use in our formulations differ in killing the two main types of armpit bacteria that make us stink. And most people's pits tend to have a dominant bacteria. So, vodka may be better for you than whiskey or the other way around.
If you want to give a vodka-based scent a try, Coconut Rum with Lime is a Pit Liquor Pro fave with a great track record for eliminating BO. A Pit Liquor Pro fave on the whiskey side (with its own fantastic track record) is Whiskey Pineapple. If you've done some Pit Liquor experimenting, are you Team Vodka or Team Whiskey? Or do both work well? Let us know in the comments below!
Question: How many sprays should I use with a Pit Liquor spray-on deodorant?
Pit Liquor Pro Tip: If you're using the spray-on version of Pit Liquor, 2 to 3 sprays should do the trick. Of course, there's room here for personal preference, but 2 to 3 sprays is a good baseline. Shake your bottle side to side vigorously before spritzing to mix all the ingredients together so they all do their BO-blasting job in your pits. Let your skin dry completely (it goes fast!) before putting on clothing.
If you average 2 to 3 sprays per pit, per day, a 50ml bottle should last 2 to 3 months. With the same average for sprays, a 100ml bottle should last over 4 months. Cheers to months of happy, stink-free pits!
Question: Can I use Pit Liquor on places other than my pits?
Pit Liquor Pro Tip: This is a "yes" and also a "hard no." We'll explain...
There are other deodorants on the market meant for deodorizing places other than your pits (i.e. places down below). We advise you to steer clear of the underwear zone with Pit Liquor. There are important microbiomes there you really don't want to mess with. You don't want to unintentionally kill beneficial bacteria that are keeping you in balance. Pit Liquor's testing for safe and effective use resides in the microbiome of the pits (not the reproductive bits).
However, some Pit Liquor Pros have discovered it's useful for zapping stink on cloth surfaces such as stinky shoes or frequently used sports bras, and more! If you want to use it on clothing and have a whiskey-based Pit Liquor scent, spot test it first. Particularly if the cloth is a light color. A spot test will warn you of any potential discoloration from the darker whiskey color going directly on clothing. Let us know if you make a new discovery!
We'll add to this list from time-to-time so it's a useful, growing collection of answers to Pit Liquor FAQs. What do you think needs to land on this list?

My discovery: if I need to go another day without washing my hair (dry shampoo powders suck), I’ll spray some whiskey vanilla or unscented (to which I’ll add my own EOs to) at the roots of the back of my scalp and sides where it’s stinkiest (and get a little wet around the shower cap) after I shower, and then quick blow dry. I know they say not to put alcohol on your hair/scalp but … well my hair is not abused and… I don’t really care what they say. :) So the alcohol dries out the oil a bit and the scent of the product is very nice. Ta-da!
